Dream Catcher 09, part 2

I've taken the vectorized version a few directions. I might post more here and I might not. I have a feeling the way things are going you will see yet another version or two of this image. I've never done so many similar revisions based on one drawing but I can't help myself at the moment. In this image I even used the first Dream Catcher as a texture for this new image. Digital recycling!

Dream Catcher Vector

Here is the progress now that I've taken a photo of the new sketch and brought it into Illustrator. Now I have a vector version that can scale to any size and I have nice clean lines to work with in photoshop.

Dream Catcher 09, a series?

So I couldn't stop myself last night. After completing the Dream Catcher image the raw sketch was still sitting next to me and I added some more detail to it. Ahah! I've got to vectorize this and turn it into something new yet again!

Dreamcatcher 09' final?

Ok so I moved pretty fast with this one. Started with the sketch, my scanner wasn't working so I just took a quick photo of the notepad with the sketch. After opening it in photoshop I liked the notebook "frame" and just went from there. I'm not sure it's final but I like it so far! (Roughly 9x13)

Dreamcatcher 09' progress

While I waited for a download I started with a figure sketch similar to the pose from the original artwork.

First project

Now that I've started promoting my artwork I'm going to try and document my creative process so people can see what's involved in creating the work I do.

My first project I will be recreating a very old image I made about 9 years ago into a much larger format using hand drawings, photographic textures and likely other things.

You can see the original there to the left.
